Let’s celebrate National Volunteer Week and recognise the amazing dedication of volunteers, like our SSASA Exec team who work tirelessly for small schools across the state. They were recently acknowledged at the Educators SA 2026 Volunteers’ Service Ceremony. Thank you for your valuable service! 🌟

Hey there, folks! Let’s take a moment to give a big round of applause to all the awesome volunteers out there! It’s National Volunteer Week, and we want to show some love to these incredible individuals who selflessly give their time to make a difference.

Did you know that the SSASA Exec team are volunteers? Yep, these fantastic peeps work tirelessly to support staff in small schools all over the state. They’re out there on the big platforms, advocating for us and making sure our voices are heard.

Last night, some of the SSSASA Exec team were given a huge shoutout at the Educators SA 2026 Volunteers’ Service Ceremony. They were recognised for their years of dedication and service. In our association, we have a combined value of more than 75 years of service to the Small Schools Association of South Australia, that is quite something!

Volunteers play a crucial role in so many industries, from education to healthcare to environmental conservation. They’re the unsung heroes who make the world a better place. Whether it’s lending a helping hand at a local shelter or leading a workshop at a community center, volunteers truly are the heart and soul of positive change.

So, if you know a volunteer or have been one yourself, give yourself a pat on the back for all the amazing work you do. Thank you to all the volunteers out there for your kindness, dedication, and passion. You’re the real MVPs!
